Planning Task One : My Magazine Title and Strapline

                                                                     Magazine Title


After generating ideas for what my magazine will be called, I have chosen the title 'Rayonner'. The word is French, meaning 'Shine'; fitting what my magazine aims to cover, 'shining a light' on those unrepresented within the style magazine industry. The word has further connotations of warmth, joy & pride, all themes I hope to be present within my magazine. Using the French translation of the word was a deliberate choice, inspired by 'Vogue' which means 'fashion' in French.

After generating ideas for Rayonner's strapline, I decided to go with 'Finding Fashion's Spark'. I believe this will best represent my magazine conveying the nature of my magazine to represent the newest, up & coming aspects of style/fashion. The use of the noun 'spark' acts as a form of word play, linking to the theme of light, which the magazine title also shares. The use of alliteration in 'Finding Fashion' creates a lyrical, catchy sound, that'll be memorable for readers when reading.
